I'm Kelly Moriarty.
I started yoga over 14 years ago for 2 reasons:

1) Chronic lower back pain that I just couldn't figure out or fix.... despite my professional background (I was a veterinary surgeon for 5 years before becoming a yoga teacher, qualified personal trainer and owning a gym!...) 

And 

2) Stress & anxiety management.

Prior to finding Iyengar yoga I had tried SO many things to help BOTH of these issues including other types of yoga. 

However IYENGAR yoga gave me the system I needed to heal myself & become the master of my mind & body...

and I've seen this process time and time again in my students who have struggled with similar problems!

What is Iyengar Yoga?
Iyengar yoga is known for it's precision, timing, sequencing and use of props like blankets, blocks, chairs, belts etc. Through modifying and arranging these elements accordingly, Iyengar yoga supports men and women through all stages of life, including menstruation, pregnancy, hormonal change, ageing, health and disease. Regular practice improves these conditions and provides a way of connecting and experiencing control and vitality in the body and ease in the mind.
Who is the teacher?
Kelly Moriarty is a certified Iyengar yoga teacher and mum of two. Kelly was previously a veterinary surgeon and her scientific & medical background often show up in her teaching. Starting as a hatha/vinyasa yoga teacher, Kelly started practicing Iyengar yoga to overcome anxiety and chronic back pain and really fell in love with this method of yoga. She studied and certified under senior teacher Pixie Lillas and has been teaching yoga for 9 years.
